FAQ

Questions homeowners ask us first

If your question isn't here, call and ask. We'd rather answer it now than have you guess.

How do estimates work?+

We walk the space with you, talk through what you want, then put together a written estimate with labor, materials and allowances itemized. You can see exactly what each part of the project costs before anything is committed.

Do you pull permits?+

Yes. When a village or the City of Chicago requires a permit for plumbing, electrical or structural work, we handle the application and coordinate the inspections as part of the job.

Can we live in the house during the work?+

In most cases, yes. We set up dust control and protect the routes through your house. For a single-bathroom home during a full bathroom rebuild, we'll talk through the practical realities with you before starting.

Can I supply my own materials?+

You can. Many homeowners buy their own tile, vanity or fixtures. Let us review the selections first so nothing arrives that won't fit the space or the existing rough-in.

Who is actually in my house?+

Our own crew, with licensed trades brought in for plumbing and electrical where the work calls for it. You'll have one point of contact for the whole project.

What happens if you find something unexpected behind the wall?+

It happens — rotted subfloor, old galvanized pipe, undersized wiring. We stop, show you what we found, and price the fix before we carry on. Nothing gets added quietly.

Do you work outside the towns listed on the site?+

Often, yes. The town pages cover where we work most, but we serve a wider slice of Chicagoland. Call (630) 200-6207 and ask about your address.

What areas of the home do you not take on?+

We stay in our lane: bathrooms, basements, kitchens and gutter protection. If a project needs something outside that, we'll say so rather than learn on your house.
